Draw rules
The built-in ANC Cup draw spelt out step by step, your own saved rules, and the AI builder that turns a sentence into a rule set.
What it's for
Draw rules is the reference page behind the DRAW RULE / FILTER box on the draw screen. It spells out what the built-in ANC Cup draw does, group by group, with the article it follows; it lists Your saved draw rules; and it holds the AI builder: describe a draw in a sentence, and it builds the brackets for you to check and save. A saved rule then appears in the draw screen's rule box and runs the ICR ladder inside each of its groups.

- An event open; without one the page says Appoint this timer to an event to describe a draw.
Steps
- Open Bibs & start lists › Draw rules.
The ANC Cup draw card, your saved rules, the AI builder - Read the 🏔 ANC Cup draw card: first group (1–7), second group (8–15), the special group enrolled 16, World Cup Start List top 30, Cup standings through start 30, FIS points from 31, no points drawn last, who may not start, the yellow leader bib, and which Cup list seeds which race — each with its COC or ICR article.
- Under ✨ New rule — describe it, AI builds the rule set, write the rule in a sentence. The box shows an example: A series points race (kids). Brackets in start order: Women U12, U14, U16, U18, then Men U14, U16, U18. Seed each bracket by Slalom points using the standard rule — top 15 point holders drawn 1–15, 16th onward in points order, no-point holders drawn last.
- Press ✨ Generate rules. The result shows the rule's name, which points it seeds by, and one line per bracket (label — gender, category, years → how it is drawn). Read every line; this is what will run.
- Give it a name and press 💾 Save rule-set. It appears under 📁 Your saved draw rules and in the draw screen's rule box.
- On a saved rule: 👁 Show groups reads the brackets; ✎ Rename; ✎ Edit groups opens each bracket's Category, Gender, Born from / Born to, How this group is drawn, ↑ ↓ to reorder, 🗑, ＋ Add group, then 💾 Save groups. 🗑 Delete asks twice.
What success looks like
The rule you need is in the draw screen's DRAW RULE / FILTER box, and the groups it draws match what the AI showed you before you saved.
If something goes wrong
- The AI answer shows 🔑 and Open /admin: the platform's AI key is not set. Ask support.
- A bracket catches nobody: its category or birth years match no row. Open ✎ Edit groups and fix it; the draw screen names a group that is empty.
- The generated rule reads wrong: do not save it. Reword the sentence and generate again.
TBC: the AI builder was not run during the walk (it writes a rule); the shape of its answer is taken from the app's own screen text.
