What it's for

The draw turns the checked field into a start order, following the rule you pick for the race, and the bibs follow the order. It counts green-ticked competitors only. Two separate presses on purpose: 🎲 Draw stores the order and writes no bib; 🎫 Assign Bibs numbers it.

Before you start

  • The field green-ticked on Manage Competitors.
  • The Active race set to the race you are drawing (Change in the bar at the top). With no race picked the screen shows nothing.
  • For a seeded draw, the points loaded (Update FIS points; for ANC, the ANC points list).

Steps

  1. Open Bibs & start lists. The screen opens on Draw — start order & bibs for the Active race, the field listed below the bar with POS, ROLL CALL (the green tick), code, names, nation and points.
The rule bar above the field; the bib box on every row
    The draw screen
  2. Pick the rule under DRAW RULE / FILTER: No grouping — the whole field as one, Ski rules X best (ICR Book IV), ANC Cup draw (FIS Continental Cup rules), or one of your own saved rules.
  3. Pick the FIS POINTS LIST column the seeding reads: The race's own discipline or a named one.
  4. Set FIRST GROUP (how many are drawn as the first group, counted from 1 in each group — 15 by default), SECOND GROUP (leave empty for one drawn group; fill it in for a second, e.g. first 7, second 15) and START AT BIB (the first bib number).
  5. Press 🎲 Draw. The order is stored and the POS column fills. Once an order exists the button reads 🎲 Re-draw and needs two taps: the first arms, the second re-draws.
  6. Press 🎫 Assign Bibs to number the drawn order from your start bib. For a FIS race where you draw the top seed yourself, type those numbers into the BIB boxes and press 🎫 Assign bibs after top seed: it numbers from start 16 on and leaves 1–15 as they are. Every typed bib is kept; the box auto-saves (✓ Saved).
  7. Read the footer: Codex 5992 · 38 in the list · start order drawn · bibs assigned.

The toolbar

  • Columns & Filters — the draw list's own columns and filter, apart from Manage Competitors; the filter changes what you see, never the order or the bibs (Columns & Filters).
  • ⇅ Sort — the list in bib order on screen; writes nothing.
  • 🗑 Delete Bibs — clears every bib on this race; the list and the drawn order stay.
  • 🖥 Display ▾ — what the big screen, the public page and the phones show (Live draw wall).
  • Reset — double-click; brings the screen back to the original state (the drawn order and the numbers go, unless the bibs are locked).
  • 🔓 Lock bibs — the safety catch on the numbers (Lock bibs).
  • 📡 Live draw OFF / ON and ⏱ Display Time — the live draw switch and how long each reveal holds.

What success looks like

Every green-ticked competitor has a POS and a BIB, the footer says start order drawn · bibs assigned, and the Start lists sheet prints in that order.

If something goes wrong

  • A competitor is missing from the draw: they are not green-ticked. Fix the row on Manage Competitors and draw again.
  • 🎫 Assign Bibs is refused and names the race: the bibs are locked. One press on 🔒 Bibs locked lifts it.
  • A bib is on two rows: it is flagged with ! and the full sentence on hover. The screen never re-routes a number by itself; you decide which row keeps it.
  • The screen is empty: no Active race is picked. Use Change in the bar at the top.
