Release and protest windows
A release from the desk opens no clock; a 15-minute protest window is set per document when an admin posts it from the phone, and a lodged protest holds the document until it is resolved.

What it's for
Releasing a document makes it public: it goes to the club's public pages, the Race Relay groups and the documents list. The ICR gives 15 minutes after the posting of a result list for a protest against the timekeeping (ICR art. 643). Race Bureau never starts that clock by itself: a release from the desk opens no window, and a window is opened only by the person who posts an official document from the phone and chooses it.
The rules
- 📣 Release now on the desk (start lists and results sheets) posts the sheet this second and opens no protest clock. It asks Really? first, because it is public.
- A protest window is set per document, from the phone. A group admin posts an official document from the chat (+ › a file or photo › Post as official document), picks its kind (Start List Run 1, Start List Run 2, DQ List, Official Results) and chooses No protest time or ⏱ 15-min protest window. Official documents go to the ROC/Jury and Coaches groups only.
- The window is 15 minutes or nothing (ICR 643.4): never automatic, never another length. Each document runs its own clock, so two can be open at once.
- While the window runs the document reads PROVISIONAL with a countdown and a banner pins on every phone in the groups. A window that closes clean makes the document OFFICIAL.
- A lodged protest (from the phone, with a reason) pins the document as ⚠ PROTEST LODGED until an admin of the club or the timer presses Resolve (two taps); the document then becomes OFFICIAL.
- Re-releasing a sheet replaces it in place: the public page, the groups and the Docs tab always show the latest.
