What it's for

Archiving closes an event: it is sealed read-only and moves from the events list to Archived. The event's Race Relay group closes and everyone leaves it (they stay on your club list), and the timer and TD invitations end — the TD can still read the archived event.

Nothing archives itself unless you set Automatic under Event access & chat › ARCHIVING. The door opens the Archive & seal screen for the event you have open; the same screen opens from the event's ⋯ menu › Archive & seal… in My events.

Before you start

  • Every race day finished. Archive unlocks when racing is finished.
  • The final checklist green (below).

Steps

  1. Open Results & publish › Archive an event. The Archive & seal screen opens on the event.
The event card, the final checklist and the seal button
    Archive & seal
  2. Read the FINAL CHECKLIST. The first item is AUTO and ticks itself when every race day is completed or recorded as cancelled; the others need you. On a FIS event:
    • All race days completed — or officially cancelled / abandoned with a recorded reason
    • Results OFFICIAL for every race — protest window closed, no open jury decisions
    • Penalty (race points) calculated and jury minutes filed
    • Results validated & accepted by FIS — results file + timing report uploaded
    • TD report submitted — plus any accident / injury reports
  3. Press Open in checklist ▸ beside an item to tick it.
  4. When the header reads ✓ Final checklist — all green, press Archive & seal.

A non-FIS event has the same list without the FIS validation item.

What success looks like

The toast reads Archived & sealed with the event's name, the list switches to Archived events, and the event is gone from All events.

If something goes wrong

  • Archive & seal stays grey: the note under the card says why — This event hasn't finished yet or N items still open. There is no override.
  • You need to change something after sealing: open the event from Archived events, press Edit this archived event, then Yes, edit this archived event. Every change is written to the archive journal; press Done editing when finished.
