What it's for

A race that the timing feed stamps as finished is marked for you. A one-run race, or a race timed elsewhere, never stamps itself โ€” so the foot of the Results & publish side menu carries ๐Ÿ Mark: this race has results, your own hand. Marking a race turns its dot in the ACTIVE RACE picker red and makes the race open read-only: before any edit, the app asks This race has results โ€” Do you really want to edit this race? One Yes, edit it covers the whole race, every tab, the rail and the header info, until you switch to another race. Switching races in the picker needs no unlocking.

The mark gates nothing else: lists, releases and the desk all keep working.

Steps

  1. Press 7 Results & publish and pick the race under ACTIVE RACE.
  2. Press ๐Ÿ Mark: this race has results at the foot of the side menu. It changes to ๐Ÿ Has results โœ“ โ€” click to undo.

  3. To take it back, press it again.

What success looks like

The race's dot in the ACTIVE RACE picker is red, and opening the race shows the This race has results question before an edit.

If something goes wrong

  • The button reads ๐Ÿ Has results (from timing) and is grey: the timing feed stamped this race as finished. That stamp is not yours to undo.
  • The question appears the moment the event opens: the picker opened on a finished race. Pick another race, or press Yes, edit it if you do mean to work on this one.
