Groups
The Race Relay groups for the event, who is in each, invite links, and clearing chats.
What it's for
Every event has its Race Relay groups: ROC / Jury, Coaches, Volunteers and the event's own group (named after the event). This screen shows each group's members and invite link, lets you add a group, clear a chat, and send each person on your roster the link to their group. Messages and official documents are sent from the phone app, not here.
Before you start
- An event open. The standard groups exist as soon as the event does.
Steps
- Open Crew › RaceRelay groups & members. Under RACE-DAY GROUPS each group shows its member count.
ROC / Jury, Coaches, Volunteers and the event group - Press › on a group to open it. 🔗 Invite link shows the link to share; 👥 Members (N) lists who is in, with anyone waiting to join.
- Press + New group to add a group of your own.
- Under INVITE FROM YOUR ROSTER 📋 filter All / ROC / Coaches / Volunteers, pick the group beside a person's name, then press WhatsApp or Copy link to send them their group's link.
- 🧹 Clear chat on a group empties that chat; press it again to confirm. Under START OF SEASON, 🧹 Clear every chat empties all of them — everyone keeps their access, and it cannot be undone.
- 📜 EVENT HISTORY opens the chats and documents day by day, read-only.
What success looks like
Every official, coach and volunteer is in the right group before race day, and the Volunteers count matches your roster.
If something goes wrong
- Someone is in the wrong group: open the group, find them under Members and remove them, then send the right link.
- A person wants to leave after the event: they leave the group on their phone and stay on your club roster (see Clubs and event groups).
