Families

A family account lets one person pay for several members; the family page and its pay page need no login.

What it's for

A family account groups members under one payer, across clubs if need be. The payer gets a private family page, /f/…, that shows everything they owe their clubs in one place, the races their family is entered in, and their receipts — and one pay page behind it.

Before you start

  • Members on the Roster. A family made on the public join page is already an account.
  • The pay page needs the club's money feature switched on; card payment needs Stripe connected under Club payments.

Your side (Members)

  1. Open Members › Families. The roster shows only members on a family account, with the payer under FAMILY ACCOUNT.

  2. To make one by hand, open a member's page and under Family account press Create family account.
  3. Press Copy pay link or Email pay link on the member page to send the family their page. A pay link lasts 90 days.

The family's side (the family page)

  1. The link opens Family account — Everything you owe your clubs, in one place. Fees due are listed with the club each goes to; Entered in lists upcoming races; Receipts lists payments.

  2. The Pay button opens the pay page, headed Pay NZ$ … (or Nothing to pay). Where this payment goes shows each club's share.
  3. Pay NZ$ … takes a card through the club's own Stripe account (Apple Pay and Google Pay included). One receipt follows.
  4. Pay by bank transfer shows the club's Account name, Account, a Reference of the form RB-XXXXXX and the Amount. Use the reference exactly — it is how the club matches your payment. The club marks it paid when the statement matches (see Payments and refunds).
  5. Pay later keeps the fees on the page: pay the club later or at the desk.
  6. After a card payment the page says Thank you — your club will confirm the payment. It can take a minute to show here.

What success looks like

The family's fees show Paid on the Roster, one receipt per payment is under Receipts, and the children can be entered in races.

If something goes wrong

  • This link has expired: pay links last 90 days — send a new one from the member page.
  • The pay page is not found: the club's money feature is off for your club.
  • The card button is missing: the club has not connected Stripe (see Club payments); bank transfer and later still work.
