General parameters
The title, footer and FIS reference printed at the top and bottom of every official document for a race.
What it's for
General parameters holds the words printed on every document of a race that are not the list itself: the TITLES at the top, the FOOTER line, and the FIS reference (prefix, codex, TD number) and the points list the race is scored against. On a FIS event most fields are filled from the FIS feed; every one of them can be overwritten.
The screen saves per race. ⧉ Copy to other races pushes the whole panel across the event.
Before you start
- The race picked under ACTIVE RACE.
- On a FIS event, the codex and TD number already in Event info.
Steps
- Open Set up › General parameters.
Titles, footer and FIS reference for the picked race - Under TITLES, check TITLE and add a NOTES second line if you want one. Tick Use a free header instead to replace the titles with your own header text.
- Under FOOTER, fill in or clear DATE, NATION, LOCATION, REGION, ORGANISATION and TIMING SERVICE PROVIDER. An empty field is dropped from the print.
- Under FIS, check CODEX (RACE), PREFIX and TD NUMBER. The LIST line shows the FIS points list in use and whether it is valid for the race date.
- Press Save race information. The screen also auto-saves a few seconds after an edit.
- To reuse the panel on the event's other races, press ⧉ Copy to other races and pick them. ⧉ Copy from another event… brings a past event's panel in.
What success looks like
The next PDF from any Print / PDF box carries the title, footer and FIS reference you see here, and the LIST line reads Valid for race date.
If something goes wrong
- The title prints in the old words: you saved on one race and printed another. The breadcrumb under the title names the race the screen saves for.
- The points list is flagged as possibly outdated: download the current list under Entries › FIS points list.
