What it's for

Event info is the event's identity: what it is called, where it runs, whether it is a FIS or a non-FIS event, and which races it holds on which days. Every list, print, document and live surface takes these facts from here, and the race picker under ACTIVE RACE is built from the races you add.

Filling in Event info

Before you start

  • The event exists (see Create the event).
  • The dates, the venue, and for each race its discipline, genders and (for FIS races) the codex.

Steps

  1. Press 1 Set up. The step opens on Event info.
The event's facts above, the days and races below
    The Event info screen
  2. Check EVENT NAME, SHORT NAME · RACE PICKER, WHERE (VENUE), COUNTRY (VENUE) and TIME ZONE (VENUE). The short name is what the race picker and the rail header show.
  3. Under EVENT TYPE choose FIS or Non-FIS. On a FIS event, ⟳ Update from FIS pulls the event's races and codices from the FIS calendar.
  4. Under RACES, press + Add day for each race day, then + race this day for each race on it. Drag ⠿ or use ▲ ▼ to reorder.
  5. Press a race to open its card. Set DATE, RACE NAME, DISCIPLINE and LEVEL, and tick Men, Women or both under GENDERS.
  6. Under STATUS · CODEX, enter each gender's CODEX and leave the status as it is unless the race is Race cancelled or Race postponed. A cancelled or postponed race stays in the picker and is never locked.
  7. Under TIMING PARAMETERS, set NUMBER OF RUNS, FINAL RANKING (Total of runs, Best of runs, 2 best runs added, 3 best runs added), tick the runs under RUNS TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION and, if you want, rename them under RUN NAMES. Blank keeps "Run 1", "Run 2".
  8. Press Save for this race. To push the same settings further, press Apply to the other gender or Apply to every race this day first.

What success looks like

The rail header shows the short name, the ACTIVE RACE picker lists every race with its day, discipline, gender and codex, and the breadcrumb under each screen title names the race you picked.

If something goes wrong

  • A race is missing from the picker: it is only created here. Add it under the right day and press Save for this race.
  • ⟳ Update from FIS finds nothing: the event is not on the FIS calendar under that codex, or EVENT TYPE is Non-FIS.
  • TBC: whether the event-level fields (name, venue, country, time zone) save with Save for this race or on their own — the screen has no separate event save button.
