What it's for

One sign-up opens a Race Bureau for a club, a resort or a timing operator. The person who signs up is the account's owner; everyone else is invited later from inside the account.

Before you start

  • The name of your club, resort or timing business.
  • An email address you can open straight away.

Steps

  1. Open racebureau.com and choose Start free, or go straight to Create your Race Bureau (the sign-up page).
    Step 1 of 2 — your details
Create your Race Bureau, step 1 of 2
  2. Step 1 of 2 · Your Race Bureau: enter Your name, Club, resort or timing business, Country, Email and a Password (at least 8 characters). The country sets your race calendar, courses, quotas and race-day timezone. Choose Continue.
  3. Step 2 of 2 · Check and create: check the four lines, then choose Create account. Everything here can be changed later under Settings.
  4. Check your email: open the link we sent. That confirms the address — it is the only step left on your side. You then see You're all set with a link to the sign-in page.
  5. New bureaus are checked by hand before they open, usually the same day. You get an email the moment it is ready.
  6. Sign in. Which sport are you running? — pick Alpine Ski (the other sports are shown with their status and cannot be picked yet). Leave Make this my default — don't ask me again on if you only run one sport; you can switch sport any time from the top bar.
    The sport picker
    Which sport are you running?
  7. Where are you working today? — your doors. An account that holds only Race Bureau lands straight in the workspace; one that also holds FIS Technical Delegate (Alpine Ski) chooses here each time.

What success looks like

The workspace opens with No event open and My events at the top of the rail. Your club's name is on Settings › Club details, where you can also set your club's own web address and tick Let people find and join us so coaches and volunteers can find the club in Race Relay.

If something goes wrong

  • No confirmation email: check the spam folder, then choose Back to sign in and sign in — the sign-in page can send the link again (TBC: the exact label of the resend control).
  • You signed up for a club that already has a Race Bureau: ask that club's account admin to invite you under Settings › Team & access instead of creating a second bureau.
