Privacy and your data
What is public, what stays inside your club, and what each role can see.
What it's for
Two things are public by design. Everything else stays inside your club unless you choose to share it. The full policy is at racebureau.com/privacy.
What is public
- The live surfaces — Live display, Phone live and Public live — show the race on race day: the scoreboard, and the start lists and results you have released. Each one is Off, Live or Test; Test is a separate address that shows nowhere.
- The public chat (Public · Spectators in Race Relay) carries only what you or your staff make public, plus spectator chatter. It never carries documents.
What stays inside your club
- Your chats, lists, documents and timing data are scoped to your club. Other clubs never see them.
- Only two things ever travel beyond your club: a person's email identity, so they can be invited into more than one club, and your public listing in Find a club — which you switch on yourself under Settings › Club details › Let people find and join us.
- Race Bureau holds no money. Marking a membership fee paid records what the club received.
What each role sees
- Organiser — the whole club account, as set per user under Settings › Team & access.
- Timer — the event they are invited to, with full event access equal to the organiser's; everything they change shows straight back in the workspace. The club's other chats are hidden unless the organiser adds them. Releases go to the chats the organiser chose and to the live surfaces, never to the public chat. The organiser can end the invitation at any time; it ends on its own when the event is archived.
- Technical Delegate — the event they are appointed to, through their own TD door; read-only once the event is archived. The live surfaces show the released documents; the chat never does.
- Coach, volunteer, athlete, parent — the groups they were invited to in Race Relay, and the public pages.
- Race Bureau support — opens your account only when you ask. Every visit is listed under Settings › Team & access (when, for how long, how much it did); anyone signed in is told when support joins, can follow along, or can press Do not disturb to end the visit.
