What it's for

A level is what a user on the club's account can see. It is a grid: every step on the rail (Events, Set up, Crew, Entries, Bibs & start lists, Race day, Timing Desk, Results & publish, Members, Settings), every screen under a step and every Settings page is Off (not shown, not usable) or On. A screen is never more than its step. The grid lives under ACCESS LEVELS on Settings › Team & access; an old Users & access or Tabs & features link lands there.

  • Admin — everything On, read-only here; an admin is made on a person's row under PEOPLE.
  • Full Race Bureau — everything On.
  • ROC — the organising steps On; Timing Desk, Bibs & start lists and the club's Settings pages Off.
  • Timer — Timing Desk, Bibs & start lists and the competitor lists On; the organising steps and the club's Settings pages Off; Create event Off.

The club keeps its own version of each built-in level, and can add named levels of its own (for example Treasurer). What a person's level has Off, their own My view cannot switch On.

Before you start

  • You are the club's super admin: only a super admin saves a level. Everyone else sees the grid read-only and their own MY VIEW.

Steps

  1. Open Settings › the group named after your club › Team & access, and scroll to ACCESS LEVELS.
  2. Pick the level: Admin, Full Race Bureau, ROC, Timer or one of the club's own. The counter beside it reads how many switches are on and off.
  3. On a step's row press Off or On. Press › to open the screens under the step and switch one screen on its own.
  4. Press Save. Everyone on that level has the change on their next request; Saved ✓ confirms. Reset to default puts Race Bureau's version of a built-in level back.
  5. To add a club level, press + New level, type a Name and press Create; it starts from everything On. Set its grid and press Save. Rename and Delete sit on a club level; deleting one with people on it asks where to Move them to.
  6. Give a person a level under PEOPLE › Change, or at the invitation under INVITE (see Team & access).

Leaving the page with unsaved changes asks once: Save, Discard or Keep editing.

What success looks like

The level's grid reads as you set it, and a person on that level sees only the steps and screens that are On on their next sign-in.

If something goes wrong

  • Save, + New level and Delete are missing: you are not the club's super admin.
  • A person still sees a step you switched Off: they are an admin (everything On), or an invited timer on one of your events, whose access comes from the invitation, not a level.
  • Someone needs a full account of their own rather than a seat on yours: they sign up at racebureau.com — see Create your account.
