What Race Bureau is
One platform for the whole event: set-up, entries, bibs, timing, live results, documents and the phone app.
What it's for
Race Bureau runs a ski or snowboard event — its race days and the races on them — from the first entry to the archive, in one place. The club's workspace, the Timing Desk, the live surfaces, the club's members and money, and the Race Relay phone app all read the same event, so nothing is typed twice.
The workspace walks an event through seven steps, in three phases:
- PREPARE IT — Set up (the event, its races, officials and documents) · Crew (volunteers, coaches, the Race Relay groups) · Entries (who is racing) · Bibs & start lists (the draw, the numbers, the sheets).
- RUN IT — Race day (the pre-race checklist, the live surfaces) · Timing Desk (the timing device, the desk, every impulse).
- PUBLISH IT — Results & publish (results, timing report, penalty, FIS submission, archive).
Around the steps sit the club's own things: the Inbox for entry forms sent to the club, Members for the roster, joining, renewals and fees, and Settings for the club, its users and how the workspace looks. Race Relay carries the chat, the live timing, the released documents and the day's programme to every phone.
Who it is for
- A club or resort that organises races, with or without its own timer.
- A timing operator who times races for several clubs.
- A Technical Delegate appointed to an event.
- Coaches, volunteers, athletes, parents and spectators, who use the phone app and the public pages rather than the workspace.
One account can hold more than one of these. See Who does what.
What success looks like
You know which of the roles above you are, and where to read next: organisers start with Your workspace and then Your first event; timers with the Timing Desk; everyone on a phone with Race Relay.
