Competitor fields
Which competitor fields exist on this event and what they are called; the columns each person sees are set with Columns & Filters.
What it's for
Competitor Fields is the event's registry of fields: Bib, Code, the names, Gender, Year, Nation, the points columns, Paid, Category, three custom text fields and two custom points fields. Here you switch a field on or off for the whole event and rename it. An inactive field is offered nowhere on the desk. Which columns show, their order and width are each person's own, set with Columns & Filters on each list.
Before you start
- An event open.
Steps
- Open Entries › Competitor fields. The Competitor Fields dialog opens over the list (drag its title bar to move it).
Default Titles · Data Type · Title · Active - Read the ACTIVE column: 🔒 = mandatory (Bib, Last Name — always on), ✓ = active, ∅ = inactive. Click ✓ or ∅ to switch a field.
- Change the TITLE box to rename a field; the DEFAULT TITLES column keeps the original name.
- To reuse a set of fields on other events, type a name in Save current as… and press + Save preset; pick it from the list on another event.
- Press ✓ OK.
What success looks like
The fields you need appear under + Add column in Columns & Filters, in the Add and Modify dialogs and on the import mapping, under the titles you gave them.
If something goes wrong
- A field you switched on does not show on the list: switch its column on in Columns & Filters; this dialog never adds columns to a person's list.
- Category stays empty: it is filled by Categories, not here.
