What it's for

Delete all timing data empties the timing desk of the active race for the runs you tick: every impulse, every saved time and every status set at the desk goes, and the desk's start order goes back to the draw. Use it after a test run on a throwaway race, or to start a run again from nothing.

Before you start

  • The ACTIVE RACE picked in the header. The dialog names the race it will clear.

Steps

  1. Open Timing Desk › Delete all timing data… in the Data group of the rail.
The race, the runs, and OK — delete
The Delete all timing data dialog
  2. Tick the runs to clear: Run 1, Run 2.
  3. With more than one timing window, pick the window's tab. Window 1 holds the race's timing; an added window's devices are not attached to the race, so it has nothing to delete here and says so.
  4. Press OK — delete.

What success looks like

The desk shows the run 1 start list as drawn, with no impulses and no times, and Data Management's counters read 0 for everything but List.

If something goes wrong

  • This cannot be undone here. The timing devices keep their own copy of every press, and a gap fill brings back only presses taken while the light was green and not deleted; a deleted press never returns.
  • Impulses came back after a delete (a replay or a download): the delete is enforced again and the row says so. Lift the delete on Data Management's Deletes on this race list only if you meant to bring them back.
