What it's for

Results & publish is step 7: the results go out to the coaches, the phones and the public page; the timing report and penalty are filled from the desk; the FIS files are built; and the race is marked as having results.

Release, report, submit

Before you start

  • Both runs timed (chapter 7).
  • The jury's decisions in; the TD beside you for the penalty and the report.

Steps

  1. Open Results & publish. Results shows the sheet in the race's format, with Run ranking and Run analysis beside it and Columns & Filters for the columns. Pick Provisional Results or Official Results as the title.
Print PDF, Release now, Close race
    The results sheet
  2. Press 🖨 Print PDF for the notice board.
  3. Press 📣 Release now, then Really?. The foot reads "✓ Released … → ROC + app": the sheet is in Race Relay's Docs tab, the event group and the public page. 📣 Release again replaces it; 🗑 Withdraw takes every copy back.
  4. The bar opens no protest clock. A 15-minute protest window is set per document from the phone, when a group admin posts an official document and picks ⏱ 15-min protest window (Release and protest windows).
  5. Press 🏁 Close race to declare the race has results; it stays editable.
  6. Open Timing report — the FIS timing report (TR XML v1.17) in four steps. Step 1 is pre-filled from the event; fill step 2 (Timekeeper & Devices, then 💾 Save as my preset); in step 3 press ⤒ Extract Times from Event — System A from the desk, System B from the window declared System B, Hand from the calculator; finish step 4 and save.
Four steps; step 3 extracts from the desk
    The timing report
  7. Open Penalty calculation. It lists the best 10 at the finish and the best 5 at the start with their list points, totals A, B and C, then Calculated penalty (A + B − C) / 10, the Correction value (Z), the adder and the Applied penalty. The parameters come from the points list; type over one to hand-set it, blank it to go back.
  8. Open Submit to FIS and press Check / build. The panel reports "Results XML ready", the timing report XML, and Download / Preview for each. Send only when the TD agrees: Send both, Send results only or Send timing report only to the FIS email. When FIS replies, tick Accepted by FIS and type the penalty.
    Check / build, download, send
    Submit to FIS
  9. Press 🏁 Mark: this race has results at the foot of the rail. The race's dot turns red and the button reads Has results ✓; opening the race later asks "Do you really want to edit this race?" first.

What success looks like

The results foot reads "✓ Released", the phone's Docs tab lists the official results, the timing report is saved, the penalty shows an applied value, the XML is ready, and the race dot is red.

If something goes wrong

  • Penalty calculation says "No penalty to show yet": the race has no classified finishers on the Timing Desk.
  • The results page says "No live feed — last stored frame": the desk is not live; what you see is the last stored result, which is what will print.
