What it's for

Chats is where the app opens. Everything you belong to is on it: each club with its event group and public chat, your private messages, and the groups you made yourself.

What is on the screen

• 👤 (top right) opens Settings. ⚙︎ appears beside it for a club admin and opens Organiser tools.
• The race bar — ‹ › and RACES ▾ pick the race the whole app follows.
• Setup 0 of 2 — an amber line until the app is installed and notifications are on. How / Turn on do each step; ✕ hides it for this session.
• 🔍 Search messages — every club — search every chat you are in; tap a hit to jump to it.
• ○ Focus — hide groups you do not need right now; ✎ Choose ticks which stay.
• Direct messages and ✎ New message — see Private message.
• A club card — the club, its active event, Public · Spectators, its groups, and 🔔 Mute club · ◎ Focus · Leave…. An unread count sits on each group. READ-ONLY marks a group where only admins post.
• 🔎 Join another ROC and ＋ Add a ROC (paste invite link) — see Join Race Relay.
• My groups and ＋ New group — your own group, independent of any club; invite anyone by link.

A card at the top asks you to Accept or Decline when a club invites you to a group. A club admin also sees coach and join requests here, with Approve / Decline.

Long-press a group

Hold a group row to open its sheet:

• 💬 Open chat
• 🔔 Notifications — the group's alert level and timed mute (see Notifications)
• 📌 Pin chat to the top — up to three pinned chats
• ▦ Show QR · add someone here and 👥 Manage group · invite — admins of the group only
• Chat text size — this phone only
• 🚪 Leave group; 🗑 Delete group… on a group you made

Steps

What success looks like

Your club is on the screen with its event group, the race bar names the club's next race, and the setup line has gone.
