Inside a group: reply, react, pin, send photos and documents, and forward to WhatsApp.

What it's for
A group's chat works like a group chat anywhere: messages, photos, replies and reactions, with the race's documents and competitor cards built in.
The header
- The club's name is the crumb; the group's name is the title. You can post or READ-ONLY says whether you may write here.
- 🔍 searches this chat.
- ⋯ opens the chat menu: 👥 Members · media & files, ▦ Invite QR (group admins), 🔔 Alerts, 🖼 Media & files, 🚪 Leave group.
- Alerts · All messages under the header is this group's alert level; tap it to change it.
- A pinned message shows as a bar; tap it to jump to the message.
Sending
- Type in Message and tap the send button. Type @ to mention someone in the group.
- Tap ＋ for Photos, Camera, Notes or Documents. In a private message there is also 🎿 Competitor, which drops a racer's card from the followed race's start list.
- For a file or photo, choose Post as official document (admins) or 📎 Just send it in the chat / 📷 Just send as a photo.
Each message carries ticks: sent, delivered, read. Hold your own message and tap ⓘ Info — who has read it.
Hold a message
Long-press any message: quick reactions, ↩ Reply to this message, ✏ Edit message (your own), 📌 Pin message (admins; three at most, the oldest pin is replaced), ↗ Share to groups…, 🟢 Forward to WhatsApp, 📋 Copy text, and delete.
Document cards
A released start list, result, DQ list or notice appears in the chat as a card, Official document · Open ›. Tap it to open the document on the Docs tab (see Docs and protests).
What success looks like
Your message shows with two ticks once the others' phones have it, and a reply quotes the message it answers.
If something goes wrong
- READ-ONLY on the group: an admin has set Only admins can send messages. Ask them, or message the person directly.
- A photo or PDF did not open on Android: open Race Relay from its home-screen icon and tap the card again.
