What it's for

A coach runs their squad from the phone: the club's Coaches chat, the released competitor list, and who is racing on the day.

Before you start

  • The club's Coaches QR code or link, or an invite by email from the organiser.

Steps

  1. Join from the club's QR code or link (see Join Race Relay). A coach gives a full first and last name, email and nation.
  2. Tap 👤 › Your profile › Coach, or 🎿 Coach sign-in on the Your athletes screen.
    One email, no password
    The coach sign-in sheet
  3. Type your email and tap Email me a sign-in link. Open the link on this phone, or type the code from the email and tap Sign in with code. If you already run races under that email, confirm Yes — I coach too.
  4. When the club publishes a day's list you are pinged in the Coaches chat. Tap 👤 › 🎿 Check your athletes and claim your racers (see Claim athletes).
  5. Beside each claimed racer answer Racing or Not racing, per race. Not racing withdraws them from that race; Racing gives the timer the green tick.

Paying

Fees are per race day. The club's desk ticks them off on the Pay sheet. Where the club takes card payments, a Pay now button appears on Your athletes for your confirmed, unpaid racers (TBC: the exact button label and which clubs have it; it needs the club's card payments switched on).

What success looks like

✓ N claimed · N racing on the bar at the bottom of Your athletes, and nothing left to confirm.

If something goes wrong

  • The ROC is editing the list and you will be notified when the list gets released. — the organiser has taken the day back; wait for the ping.
  • No races yet. — no club has approved you or released a list. Join the club's Coaches group by QR code.
  • You are not in yet — a coach needs their real first and last name (no initials). — go back and type your full name.
