What it's for

A volunteer joins the event's group to get the day's messages, the program and the documents. The roster itself lives on the club's volunteer web page.

Steps

  1. Sign up for the event on the club's volunteer link (the web page the club sent). That is where shifts are booked and attendance is kept; the app does not book shifts.
  2. Join the event's Race Relay group from the QR code or link the club shares (see Join Race Relay). Your email is how the club invites you to its next race.
The event group, the public chat and the race bar
    Chats for a volunteer
  3. On the day: Chats for the crew's messages, Program for start and inspection times, Docs for the start lists, Live for the race.
  4. Long-press a competitor on Live to write a note on them (volunteers are crew; see Notes).

Joining another club's chat from 🔎 Join another ROC gets you their messages only: To work a shift you still sign up on that club's own volunteer link.

What success looks like

The event group is on Chats with the crew's messages, and the program shows the day's times.

If something goes wrong

  • ⏳ A join request is waiting for the organiser to approve. — the club approves joins for this group; your groups appear once they do.
